Comments: The language around selling care is interesting to me. It is also clear from this ad that the intended audience is men by the use of “caring about you… and her.” which is interesting when compared to the imagery of a shining spray can. I perceieved the can to be more feminine in character. The shine matches the jewlery on the hand grasping it, which creates unity with the product and the person using it. The red nails and manicured hand also makes me wonder if this ad is trying to use the “sex sells” notion, making consumers attracted to the women and therefore attracted to the product.
