# VANCIDE 89RE
No other commercial bactericide-fungicide offers so much control with such safety.
That’s a strong claim. But we’re sure VANCIDE 89RE can give you the preservative protection you need.
For products shipped pathogen-free and with low bacterial count, you still need an effective preservative system for long shelf life. Such preservatives frequently are high in toxicity.
But you don’t want high toxicity in your cosmetics and topical pharmaceuticals. Neither do your customers. Neither does the government. VANCIDE 89RE has a very low order of toxicity. It is non-irritating. It has a long history of safe use in many products, especially as an antidandruff agent in hair products.
Especially important: It has antimicrobial activity in cosmetics with conditioners. And it is not inactivated as a preservative in the presence of nonionic emulsifiers.

Curious about why resistance to nonionic emulsifiers is important.
Chiara Benedetti:
I was drawn in from the headline, specifically when I saw the mention of fungicides. I was intrigued to read more about the product and found that it is focused on extending shelf life with emphasis on low toxicity.
