At Ashland, we don’t exactly make fatty chemicals in the back room. 

As a foremost manufacturer of a broad range of fatty chemicals, we know what it takes to meet industry’s growing needs. It takes specially-designed facilities like our Mapleton, Illinois plant pictured above. Where recent expansions are adding 10 million pounds of new capacity. 

And where additional new facilities are being planned to boost production another 40-50 million pounds. 

But that’s not all — facilities now on stream at our Hammond, Indiana plant have provided an additional 45 million pounds annual capacity. And more production to come from our plants in Oakland, California and Janesville, Wisconsin. 

While all this incremental volume will help deal with current needs, it still may not solve all your supply problems. But it’s a big step in the right direction. 

That’s why we keep on expanding capacity. It’s our long-range commitment to the many industries that rely on our wide variety of fatty chemicals — fatty acids, plasticizers and esters, alcohols, triglycerides, amines, diamines, amides, and quaternary ammonium compounds. Whatever your needs Ashland will be ready.
