One PABA derivative sunscreen eclipses all the others.
A white container labelled with “Amerscreen P” is held up in front of a sun. Below that is a set of taller white containers with a gray cap.
One PABA derivative sunscreen eclipses all the others.
With Amerscreen P, you get all the selectivity advantage of PABA and other PABA derivatives.
What you don’t get are their typical disadvantages.
Take stability, for example. Unlike the others, only Amerscreen P is totally resistant to oxidation and breakdown from heat and UV radiation.
So there’s no need to worry about shelf-life, discoloration, or fabric staining.
It’s safe, too — nonphototoxic, nonstinging, Blistering and skin after exposure are sharply reduced.
Expensive? Not at all. Compared to other PABA derivatives, you can save from 30 to 35 percent.
And it can easily be incorporated into any vehicle — oil, water, alcohol, emulsions, ointments, etc.
Amerscreen P is approved by the FDA in Category 1 of OTC drugs in concentrations of 1 to 5 percent.

THE ELEGANCE ENGINEERS
Stability, safety, profit, and effectiveness are promoted in this ad. Stability, safety, and profit are directly mentioned and clearly described in reference to this product. Effectiveness is implied because Amerscreen P can be “incorporated into any vehicle,” according to the company.
Unlike a previous Amerchol ad, this one focuses on a specific product and shows the product itself. Considering the ad is advertising sunscreen, it makes sense that the background shows a sun.
This ad also makes it clear how Amerscreen P is different (and better) from other PABA products on the market, which would likely appeal to manufacturers. Ads don’t always describe in what ways the company’s product is better than those on the market, making this particular ad unique.
