The logical place to cut unit costs and increase profits is in your propellant vapor pressure depressant system. This ad is very similar to another Dow Chemical ad about AEROTHENE in this 1973 journal. Not only are aerosol cans used in the image, but the emphasis on profit and solvency is also apparent here.
The text between the two ads includes much of the same content, but there are differences as well. What this ad reveals about the two AEROTHENE solvents is that they can also be combined to create a drying rate that’s between fast and slow. This would be desirable to manufacturers because they have a wider range to work with.
