This advertisment takes a new lens and instead focuses on products used in the cosmetics industry. White petrolatum is a mixture of hydrocarbons, however impurities are removed, used in the cosmetic industry as a moisturizing ingredient. This ad also points out one of the central themes of the advertising industry, although consumers might not know the overarching company that sells manufacturers their ingredients, we place our trust in the direct sellers of the product. The ad is appealing to the manufacturers as their credibility is tied to the ingredients they use.
