Novelose Functional Fiber
In this advertisement, the first half of the page contains three separate nutrition fact charts: one for cereal, one for cheeto puffs, and one for pasta. Dietary fiber is highlighted for all three with each being at 5.0 g or 20%. The ad is selling a healthy product that is rich in fiber and does not contain more than 1% of fat. Eating quality, crispness, and expansion are all benefits of this product compared to traditional fiber sources that have gritty and low quality textures.
NOVELOSE funtional fiber. A new tool for creating fiber-rich foods.
The RTE cereal, cheese curls and pasta shown above represent a fiber breakthrough. The foods are “good” or “high” fiber sources, plus they have excellent crispness, expansion and/or firm texture. That’s because they’re made with NOVELOSE functional fiber – the first commercially developed concentrated sources of resistant starch. Approximately 30% of NOVELOSE analyzes as dietary fiber by the AOAC approved method, and it contains less than 1% fat compatible with health labeling.
Unlike traditionald fiber sources which can impart a gritty texture and strong cereal-like flavor, NOVELOSE improves eating quality, enhances crispness and increases expansion. Small particle size and partially soluable, non-hydrating profile contribute to improved processing. It even has been shown to reduce oil pickup.
