Observations: This ad is aimed for professionals working in food industry, making taste of food a showcase of professional skills. In the document, the way that man using a spoon to taste food is a symbol of making tests for the quality, evaluations and professional judgement. The text, “We want you to taste it… just to prove you can’t” challenged the target audience that the product can’t really be replicated without industrial ingridents. Through advertising MALTRIN™ hydrolyzed cereal solids, the ad is making food as something that can be carefully manipulated not based on personal cooking skills.
