Effectiveness is mainly promoted in this ad. This is evidenced by the various uses that SILSOFT Beauty Aid MG has. 

Unlike a previous Union Carbide ad in this journal, this ad only focuses on one product. What I find particularly interesting is the ad’s theme on clearness. This theme is reflected in the ad’s text, which uses words like clear, and the visual itself. Not only is SILSOFT Beauty Aid MG shown as clear as water, but it is also held up by a sculpture. Together, it looks like a work of art, which is likely intentional to reinforce how perfect (and therefore desirable) the product is.
