Fragaria
3 strawberries with leaves, flowers, and stems still attached. The center strawberry is cut into two to show the inside of the strawberry.
Fragaria
Strawberries are members of the rose family. So why do they taste like strawberries and not roses? For the answer to that, you have to delve deeply into the secrets of nature. And that’s just exactly what we do. Finding out more about the mysteries of nature enables us to accurately reproduce its flavors. At Florasynth, we’re curious, and for a company that creates flavors, that’s the only way to be.
Leaves
3-foliolate, and the stipules are joined to the base of the petiole.
Flowers
Can be either white or reddish, and are found in small raceme-like clusters.
Runners
Prostrate shoots (or stolons) along which roots and leaves form at intervals to make new plants.
Receptacle
The swollen, fleshy part of the berry surrounded by embedded seed-like fruit known as achenes.

What I found particularly interesting about this ad is that it seems Florasynth has taken the effort to include labels and information to explain parts of the strawberries. In other ads I’ve seen related to fruit, there is usually no such explanation. In this specific ad, it seems like the explanations are warranted, however. I was not aware that strawberries had so many components to them, and this information is likely not well known to the lay person as well. It makes me wonder if Florasynth is assuming that individuals in other companies would not know this information, and is why they’re choosing to include these details in the ad. On the other hand, I could see this as Florasynth trying to show other companies how knowledgeable they are, and therefore why they should work with Florasynth.
